# Monkees Krav Maga Amsterdam

> Krav Maga group classes in Amsterdam-Oost (Sporthal Bajeskwartier) for adults who have never trained a martial art before. Small groups, two fixed evenings per week, instruction in Dutch and English. Run by DefenseMonkees since 2014; the instructor is KMG (Krav Maga Global) certified.

Krav Maga is a practical self-defense system, not a competition sport: no matches, no points, no rules. The goal is to get away safely. Classes build on natural reflexes, start with awareness and de-escalation, and always train with control over force. Roughly half the group is female; the oldest member is 70+. New members can try 3 classes without a membership obligation.
